jane iredale's ultimate tool in the battle against blemishes has just gotten better. Boasting a new and improved formula, Zap&Hide will treat, conceal and soothe blemishes quickly and more effectively than ever before.
The new water-based formula ensures the most rapid and effective delivery of active ingredients to your breakout. These active ingredients also provide a herbal scent that not only refresh your skin, but your senses too.
To use simply apply the 'zap' treatment to the desired spot, Then, take a small amount of the 'hide' concealer and blend it over the treated area to perfectly cover the blemish all day long.

Founder of Environ Skincare Dr Des Fernandes was interviewed for the June 2012 Issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine (South Africa). He talks about Vitamin A being the key to a healthier, nourished skin and his cosmetic needling being a world first.
Dr Des says "Our skin acts as a barrier, and if we make it healthy it can be a good barrier. This instrument called the Cosmetic Roll-CIT, makes little holes in the epidermis that allow maximum efficiency of the ingredients in the Environ creams. You start by rolling it on your face twice a week, and slowly progress until you can use it daily. It is designed to help enhance the look and feel of your skin".

If you want to try something a little bit different, why not experiment with coloured eyeliner on your bottom lash line. We love the way that Michelle Trachtenberg has combined traditional black liquid liner on the top with gorgeous purple on the bottom. It adds a subtle pop of colour to the eyes and a quirky edge to the entire look without going over the top. Sara, who is one of our in-house makeup artists shares her tips on re-creating Michelle’s unique red carpet makeup look.
Eyes – Use Black Liquid Eyeliner on the top lash line and the Amethyst Mystikol to smudge on the bottom lash line. Finish with Black Ice Longest Lash Mascara. Application: On the bottom lash line apply the Amethyst Mystikol then use the Smudge brush to soften and smudge the line. Always keep it a little thicker towards the outer corner of the eye.
Cheeks – Parfait Blush on the cheeks or for a dewy glow you can use the Connection Cream Blush. Lips –Tokyo Lip Plumper to keep lips moist and plump or Sabrina Lip Colour.
Note: The lip colours suggested are the closest shades to the picture but will depend on your own natural lip pigment. You could even experiment with the Forever Pink Lip and Cheek Stain which is a perfect shade of vibrant pink and uses natural ingredients to enhance your own unique colouring.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say they didn’t like Drew Barrymore. There’s just something about the former child star, now major Hollywood actress, producer and director, that inspires, intrigues and most of all, makes you want to be her friend! She’s the type of girl who comes across so down-to-earth on the big screen and whenever you see her interviewed, that you can imagine her fitting in seamlessly with your own group of girlfriends, drinking coffee, swapping gossip and finding out about about their latest makeup discoveries. Unfortunately, I don’t see my bestie fantasy coming true any time soon, and there are actually a few things I’d love to ask her about, particularly in the beauty department. Namely how she maintains looking so effortlessly beautiful, totally natural, and most of all, even more so as she gets older!
As I've watched Drew grow up in the public eye, I've seen her hair colour change regularly from blonde to brunette and sometimes even red. No matter what the colour, it always looks amazing, and on top of that, her makeup is always impeccably matched. It got me thinking, is there a trick to this? I’m sure she has plenty of resources at her disposal to make sure all of her looks ‘work’, however sadly, I don’t have Drew on speed dial, so I don’t see how I’ll ever get to ask her how she does it (not in the near future anyway).
Luckily, here at jane iredale Australia HQ we have access to some of our own brilliant beauty experts who have the answers to some of the questions I would love to ask Drew. From matching your makeup to your hair colour and what makeup will look best as you get older. I pestered our National Educator Celeste David to let me in on some of the secrets…

Concealer is the unsung hero of our makeup bag. It discreetly helps us hide any perceived flaws or distractions we may not like so we can stop obsessing about them (you know we do!) and focus on enhancing our best features. Different problems call for different solutions, so we thought we'd discuss the various jane iredale concealers and what they do, to help you find the best one to suit your needs.
Active Light- Active Light adds light to your face wherever you need it. It brightens under-eye circles and also contains buckwheat extract to reduce puffiness and cucumber extract to soothe. It has a light texture and is relatively sheer. It can also be used on other areas of your face that you want to brighten, like the bridge of your nose, top of cheeks, or brow bone.
How to apply: My favorite way of applying Active Light is to place small dots under my eyes and then gently pat it to blend, with my ring finger. A great trick is to draw short lines, like the rays of the sun, from the under eye area to the tops of cheekbones. This brightens dark circles and highlights all at once. A little goes a long way. Until you get used to using the right amount for you, check in a mirror 30 minutes after applying. If you have some creasing, pat gently with the ring finger and apply a little less next time.
Best use: Active Light is best to use if you have slight under eye discoloration or puffiness and is perfect to create a brighter, more wide-awake look.
Circle/Delete- Circle/Delete is very emollient in texture and provides more opaque coverage. It is nourishing and helps hold in moisture. Due to its texture it is important to keep this concealer away from your lower lash line if you are wearing eye liner, as it may cause your eye liner to smudge. Circle/Delete is not only great for deeper under eye discoloration, but also works well to lighten the nasal-labial folds (puppet lines) around the mouth, to give a refreshed and lifted look.
How to apply: The best way to apply Circle/Delete is with the Camouflage brush. Using the brush pick up some of the concealer and apply using short criss-cross motions on the area you are trying to cover, this will allow the product to get into any tiny crevices and cover your under eye circles thoroughly. Continue to pat with your ring finger warming the product into my skin. As with Active Light, check for creasing after applying.
Best use: Circle/Delete is a good choice if you have dry or dehydrated skin, fine lines or darker under eye circles.
